The long-awaited brand and name drops for the PWHL’s latest expansion teams, PWHL Vancouver and PWHL Seattle, have finally arrived.

The Vancouver Goldeneyes

PWHL Vancouver is now known as the Vancouver Goldeneyes. In a stunning video narrated by Canadian pop icon Lights, the brand reveal was nothing short of phenomenal. The imagery, the name, the logo, the brand—it’s all there to usher in a new wave of hockey fans.

The Vancouver Goldeneyes released the story behind the brand with more details on the team’s newfound identity.

The Seattle Torrent

Not to be outdone by their Canadian counterparts, the PWHL Seattle is now officially the Seattle Torrent. This news may have been a touch overshadowed by the accidental leak of the Torrent, but it doesn’t diminish the impact of what this means for the team.

Narrated by Hilary Knight, Seattle’s release video was equally powerful to match Vancouver’s. Just like that, the Torrent’s identity went from being merely a leak to a torrential downpour—sorry, had to get that pun in there.

Here is Seattle’s perspective on their new Torrent identity.

The world is ready for more women’s hockey

Women’s hockey is the winner today. These brand announcements were followed by instant fanfare, from countless immediate reactions to long lines to get merch.

The 2025–26 PWHL season is going to be one to watch, and with these two new teams in the fold, it’ll be even easier and more enticing to follow along.
